Position Overview

QA Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, reporting, finding potential quality issues in production, implementing solutions to mitigate issues and assist with enforcement of Pre-Op, HACCP, SSOP, AQL, GMP.  The QA Supervisor is also responsible for the direct supervision and training of non-exempt team members in the QA department.  This involves areas of responsibility, policy implementation, philosophies and department specifications and any additional tasks that are asked by management.

  • Must be able to conduct appropriate communication to regulatory agencies (e.g. USDA, FSIS)
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide and work with percentages.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures. Example: Lockout/Tag out (LOTO)

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Computer experience with MS Office including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience with inventory control a plus.
  • Ability to read and write legibly.
